Mam takie pytanie:
w utworze Take A Look At The Guy ten końcowy motyw gitary gdzieś jeszcze słyszałem tylko nie mam pojęcia w jakim utworze - może ktoś z was wie?

To oczywiscie cover - oryginal znajduje sie na plycie ronniego wooda I've got my own album to do... jednak tam utwor ten zostal pozbawiony tej koncowej solowki (zostala jakby wyciszona) teraz po latach ronnie dokonczyl ja o 4 nad ranem po obejrzeniu wraz z jjh filmu spartacus z kirkiem douglasem...

Take A Look At The Guy (Ronnie Wood)
"That's from Ronnie Wood's solo album, I've Got My Own Album To Do. We collared him when he was having a listening party for his new album over at A&M Studios. Ian McLagan knew him from the Faces days. We went out to dinner and I asked if he wanted to do a duet on the song. It took a couple of days, but we got it together. We took turns singing. That's his guitar solo at the end. Four in the morning...".

"Yeah, he did a song with us on my album! Something called "Take A Look At The Guy"... It was on his first record "I Got My Own Album To Do". Actually, we called him from the studio one night and he said: "Hey, Izzy, come immediately to my place listen to my new album" (nftt: "Slide On This) We told him: "Ronnie, we're recording ours. So you're the one who comes!" So he did, and it happened. We sang together and he did an awesome slide solo. Alan, can I make him listen to it?". [Rock & Folk 09/1992]

"We met in Chicago* at a playback party for Ronnie's new album. We met, went for dinner and then dragged him into the studio. Ian McLagan knew Ronnie from when they were in The Faces together. It wouldn't have worked if they hadn't known each other. It only took two days to get it all done. I do a duet with Ronnie and the guitar solo is his - he recorded it at four one morning." * - Izzy made a mistake, it wasn't in Chicago; Ronnie Wood was recording his solo album titled Slide On This at A&M Studios, Los Angeles - so Take a Look a the Guy was recorded at Total Acces Studios, also in L.A. of course.

Eddie Ashhworth: "One of the great evenings of my career. Someone had been in contact with Ronny and found out he was open to recording with Izzy. There was this big release party for Ronny’s “Slip on This” [Slide On This] album at A&M Studios one night, so we got set up at Total Access studios in advance to record a song with Izzy and Ron. Then we all went up to A&M and hung out the party for a couple of hours. It was a real Hollywood scene. Even Phil Spector was there, holding out his hand like a pistol and pretending to shoot people who pissed him off!!

Anyway, as the party was winding down, I got the word that Ron would be ready to record after the party. Charlie and I drove back to Redondo and waited, for quite a while actually. Apparently, Ron went back to his pad and decided to watch “Spartacus” in its entirety, while Izzy, Jimmy and Alan waited.

Finally, we got the call at the studio that the movie had finished and everyone was on their way down. This was sometime after midnight. Finally, the crew showed up. Ron’s charming wife, Jo, helped him carry in a bewildering array of alcohol (a fifth of vodka, case of beer, some kind of expensive brandy). We were already set up with everyone else’s sound, so we took a few minutes to get Ron dialed in. I believe we recorded the basic track of Ronny’s “Take a Look at the Guy” live in a couple of takes. Izzy and Ron’s vocal were overdubbed live simultaneously. That was kind of tricky, because they were in the same room and Izzy sings kind of quietly and Ron is loud, so there was a lot of Ron in Izzy’s vocal track.

I will never forget the playback of that track after we recorded the vocals. I was sitting at the board, adjusting the faders as everyone listened. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and it was Ron, grinning like a loon with his drink swaying precariously in his hand, giving be a big thumbs up. Quite a thrill!!.

Ian’s keyboards were recorded a couple of weeks later during his sessions at Total Access. Kind of funny, it took him a while to remember the parts that he originated…! He is such a great guy, very charming". [Eddie Ashhworth interview for Will Villiers]

   

Mam pytanie dotyczące pewnego incydentu w którym Izzy brał udział  

Mam tu na myśli MTV Video Music Awards 1989r.  

Jak wiadomo Izzy został uderzony przez Vince'a Neil'a  ( Motley Crue ) , wybuchło zamieszanie i później Axl i Neil obrzucali się błotem i chcieli stoczyć pojedynek...   ( do którego nigdy nie doszło , mimo , że obaj nigdy się z tego nie wycofali... )
Ja tu jednak chciałbym poznać dokładną przyczynę tego zajścia.
Są różne zdania na ten temat np. w Sadze Guns n' Roses jest napisane , że żona Neila przystawiała się do Izzy'ego a ten jej powiedział żeby się odp...   ( w sumie to w jego stylu ).
No i ona się mężowi poskarżyła , że Izzy ją zaatakował...co było niepradą ( idąc za informacjami z Sagi )
Natomiast w The Dirt jest napisane , że pijany Stradlin się do niej dobierał , uderzył ją w brzuch( nie chciała bliżej go poznać   ) no i dlatego wokalista Motley Crue wymierzył mu sprawiedliwość  
W tej książce Vice opowiada , że jakiś czas po całym zdarzeniu Izzy przyznał się do tego wszystkiego i przeprosił za całą sytuację ( w tym czasie wojna pomiędzy wokalistami nabierała rozpędu ).
Przedstawiłem tutaj dwie wersje , a pewnie jest ich jeszcze kilka  

Jaka jest więc prawda , ktoś ma jakieś informacje na ten temat?? Czy po prostu jest tak , że "ile stron tyle opinii , i nie wiadomo jak było naprawde"??  

Izzy nie wyglądał też na takiego, co by sikał w samolocie w miejscu niedozwolonym Urzerzać w brzuch kobietę może niekoniecznie uderzał, ale czy się nie dobierał, oj tu już byłbym ostrożniejszy

Jakiś czas temu trafiłem na ten temat.Musze przyznać , że na początku byłem bardzo ucieszony informacjami które tam się znajdują.

Mniej więcej chodzi o to , że Duff i Izzy rozmawiali ze sobą na temat wspólnych występów w Ameryce Południowej.
Na rozmowach się niestety zakończyło jednak może kiedyś panowie do tego jeszcze wrócą i taka trasa wypali.
Dla mnie byłoby to spore wydarzenie biorąc pod uwagę aktywność sceniczną Izzy'ego   

Pomijając to wszystko , nadal po cichu liczę , że Stradlin pojawi się razem z Guns N' Roses na festiwalu Rock in Rio 
Póki co nie ma żadnych informacji które by na to wskazywały ale życie lubi płatać niespodzianki , czasem są one nawet dobre
