When Axl Rose strides on stage to headline the Reading and Leeds Festivals this August he is introducing one of the most outstanding, successful and controversial rock bands we have seen in the last 25 years.  An acclaimed and thrilling live act, GUNS N’ ROSES’ countless hits have become soundtracks for music fans all over the world.   The band played a spectacular show at Leeds Festival in 2002 and this is incredibly their first ever appearance at Reading.  Their latest album ‘Chinese Democracy’ was number one in 13 countries and has received countless awards all over the world.  This is their only UK appearance this year.

Reading napewno jest puszczany w TV, nie wiem jak Leeds. Ciekawe czy o tych koncerach mówił jarmo (jak ktoś nie pamięta to potwierdził, że któryś z późniejszych koncertów będzie transmitowane w necie)

Liczę na to że będzie w Polsce ewentualnie Czechy/Węgry.

Grupa Guns N' Roses otrzymała oficjalne ostrzeżenie od organizatora festiwalów w Leeds i Reading: jeżeli zespół spóźni się na występ, to nie zagra w ogóle.

W 2002 roku formacja Axla Rose'a wyszła na scenę w Leeds ponad 2 godziny po czasie, przez co organizator, Melvin Benn, miał kłopoty z lokalnymi władzami.

- Jeżeli zrobią tak jak wtedy, koncert się nie odbędzie - stwierdził Benn. - Otrzymałem bardzo poważne pouczenie od lokalnych władz. Obowiązuje cisza nocna - bardzo ścisła cisza nocna. Raz się nam udało, ale drugi raz nam nie wybaczą. Nie ma takiej możliwości, że wyjdą spoźnieni. To znaczy, mogą to zrobić, ale to będzie oznaczało brak szacunku dla fanów, bo nie pozwolę im grać gdy zacznie się cisza nocna. Takie zachowanie zagroziłoby licencji naszego festiwalu.

Długo oczekiwany, ostatni album formacji, "Chinese Democracy", ukazał się w listopadzie 2008 roku.
