Dear Ron Thal '' Bumblefoot '' Due to the great admiration and respect that we felt by you, we were ourselves forced to want
to know a little but on its life and opinions. Asique with our humble forum of GNR in hablahispana, we decided to do an
Mini-interview to him with 10 little compromising questions, thus we hope that when has a free time us it can answer.
BBFT: Thank you! It's my pleasure to speak with you
On your life.
1. As is Your Influences Musicales and Idol of Guitars?
BFFT: Main influences were Kiss, for their energy, and the Beatles for the beautiful songs. They made me want to be a
musician. Always loved Hendrix, and all the legendary guitarists there are, but it was hearing Eddie Van Halen that affected
me most, and made me start to experiment on the guitar. These days I listen mostly to Motown stuff, like Stevie Wonder, the
Temptations. And Manowar. Fucking LOVE Manowar.
2. That age you began to touch guiitarra?
BFFT: I started playing at age 6, maybe 7. Formed a band with older kids in the neighborhood, they were 9 years old - haha,
"older" at age 9. We wrote songs, made demos, played gigs... played together until we were teenagers...
3. Like salio the idea to make those guitars? are yours the designs?
BFFT: Yes, I always designed my own guitars. Some strange designs, haha. I have pictures on my website, they're at
http://www.bumblefoot.com/gear/gear.htm4. That is the rock for you, as is your favorite subject and the one that I inspire your technique?
BFFT: I've played jazz, classical, blues, funk, punk, metal... somehow all the pieces come together, a little bit of
everything, and it somehow becomes rock guitar
5. As is your relation with Joe Satriani?
BFFT: They say there are six degrees of separation between any two people. Joe is the neighbor directly across the street
from my uncle's 2nd cousin by marriage, who's nephew went to school with the stepchildren from my aunt's 3rd marriage.
One of their teachers knew my sister's best friend, who's boyfriend worked at a factory where they demagnetized old
refrigerator magnets, weird job but somebody's gotta do it, right? So, at the factory, the guy who would sweep up the
little slivers and dust, he was wearing a 38 Special concert shirt, and someone asked him which concert it was from, one
thing led to another, a fire broke out, no one got hurt from the fire, but the assistant to the guy who asked about the
shirt tripped and fell on his way running out of the building. At the hospital, someone in the waiting room went to school
with the lady who was walking by, bring lunch to a patient in a room just as the guy who fell was being called over to fill
out insurance information. Meanwhile, as all this was happening, I emailed Joe to say hello, and we kept in touch.
And here were are two years later. Amazing, I know. Fucking amazing.

On GNR
1. As it is Your opinion towards AXL ROSE… wanting to introduce in GN'R a Third Guitarist with the excellent Qualities
like which tapeworm BUCKETHEAD and now YOUR, You think that it is for Updating classic sound GUNNER… by I throw of Your
being one of the Guitarists but Talented/Quick/Virtuous Technician/of our Times?
BFFT: I think having three guitarists in the group give so many possibilities - harmonizing solos and rhythms, we'll be able
to do great things together. And each guitarist has their own style, adding something unique. Pretty cool.
(Hey, ya know the story above, on how I met Joe Satriani? I lied. I don't have a sister. Sorry.)
2. As it were to be of tour with Izzy and that you parecio I publish in Europe?
BFFT: It was great playing with Izzy. Had a lot of fun hangin' backstage with mini-amps, jamming to old songs...
really nice guy.
3. You Like to touch to you in South America with Gn'R and When They come?
BFFT: I would LOOOOOOOOOOOVE to come to South America!! I hope GnR will play South America, but I don't know when.
I was planning concerts in Chile with my own band for earlier this year... maybe I can go next year, if it is possible...
4. That You feel when touching Dont Cry?
BFFT: I feel very connected to the audience, when they sing, I play, we're making music together - it's great.
Sometimes I forget where I am and just listen, while it's happening...
5. That you think of the future that approaches (and furthermost) of GN'R?
BFFT: I'm VERY excited about it. With all the touring, and Chinese Democracy on its way, I don't know what surprises life
will bring, but I know it will be good times.
